Description
The Kyoritsu KEW 3005A is a microprocessor-controlled digital insulation and continuity tester offering three selectable test voltages — 250V, 500V, and 1000V — with insulation resistance measurement up to 2000MΩ and continuity testing at 200mA DC across 20/200/2000 Ohm ranges. Its LCD display features a bargraph for visual insulation resistance trending, an auto null function that automatically subtracts test lead resistance for accurate continuity readings, and automatic discharge of capacitive charge upon test button release. A live circuit warning beeper alerts the user to dangerous external voltages before testing begins. Fully compliant with IEC61010-1 CAT III 300V, IEC61010-2-031, and IEC61557-1/2/4, with IP54 protection for field use.
